The year I spent Christmas in Torino, Italy with my amazing friend Diana. It’s still strange to spend Christmas all rugged up. Equally as strange is the Italian tradition of eating and drinking late on Christmas eve with family members. My Australian Christmas eve is normally spent in warm weather (shorts and t-shirt) and out with friends enjoying a drink at a pub or by the beach. Family day is Christmas day, a lunch-time feast and afternoon napping. After my trip to Italy I meandered around Europe, mainly to capital cities. However I did manage to go snowboarding in the Czech Republic in the most ideal ski conditions I have ever seen.
